2025 has been an incredible year for Solar Bear – a whirlwind of creativity, collaboration and community. It’s hard to know where to begin, but we are so proud of everything we’ve achieved together. From the Make A Change bursary scheme to the Solar Reels Film school and a multitude of other events in between including a brand new Deaf Leadership Day.

We also want to take a moment to say thank you to Jamie Rea, who has recently left Solar Bear, and we’re delighted to welcome back Alice Muir as our Community Engagement Manager.

Looking ahead, 2026 is going to be huge! We are co-producing a new production with Dundee Rep that we’re especially thrilled about, in collaboration with Aberdeen Performing Arts and the Traverse Theatre – THE SINGER.

For now, we simply want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of Solar Bear this year. We could not have delivered these incredible projects without your support, and we’re determined to make 2026 our best year yet.
