Main Purpose of the Post
- Co-ordinate the Solar Flares: Deaf Heritage Steering Committee, formed to offer advice and support to the project from key stakeholders in the deaf and creative communities

- Support and manage commissioned artists to research and deliver digital commissions, facilitating and promoting continued engagement with deaf organisations and communities
- Ensure efficient financial management, ensuring the project remains within budget
- Ensure that all appropriate contracts, licences, rights and third-party fees are secured
- Identify, coordinate and facilitate opportunities and events related to each commission: working with partner organisations and deaf communities to raise the profile of, and engagement with, deaf heritage in Scotland
- Identify and manage dissemination opportunities for each commission, ensuring their long-term legacy: including archiving and the creation of educational resources
- Represent Solar Bear at events relating to deaf culture and heritage
- Manage ongoing, effective evaluation, compiling a final report that will inform future funding and direction for the project
