Solar Reels was a pilot film school developed by deaf filmmaking professionals Teresa Garratty & Will Clark. The focus of the school was to re-design film education from a deaf perspective. Over the course of 2 weeks our 3 film students Yuki Neoh, Klarissa Webster and Munzer Alhafre developed filmmaking skills and produced, shot and edited 3 short films.
Solar Reels is about opening up the possibilities for deaf talent to pursue a career in the Film & TV industry and filmmaking as a creative pursuit, working to a professional standard.
