Solar Bear is thrilled to introduce Solar Reach, a workshop leadership programme for deaf creatives in Scotland.
What is Solar Reach?
Solar Reach is a groundbreaking leadership programme led by Jennifer Bates, Solar Bear’s Creative Director and CEO. The programme is tailored to creatives of all levels, from emerging talent to seasoned professionals. Our first cohort comprises ten participants whose interests span theatre, dance, song, photography, film, social politics, deaf/deafblind culture and health and wellbeing.
What can participants expect?
The Solar Reach programme consists of four leadership workshop masterclasses. These sessions cover critical topics such as creative delivery, child protection, reflective learning, planning and development. These workshops are designed to empower participants to take their skills to the next level and deliver in the real world.

Solar Reach is about building a community that challenges the status quo and celebrates the unique perspectives/talents of deaf artists. By connecting this talent with the broader creative industry, Solar Reach aims to foster a more vibrant, inclusive, and representative arts community in Scotland.
