After an incredible journey with Solar Bear, we’re saying goodbye (for now!) to our brilliant Youth Theatre Co-ordinator & Associate Director, Craig McCulloch.
Craig’s story with us began as a member of our Deaf Youth Theatre, making it especially meaningful to see him go on to help shape the next generation of deaf young people through his creativity, passion and leadership. Over the years, Craig has delivered inspiring weekly workshops, led our Summer Projects and Christmas sharings, developed Deaf Youth Theatre performances at the National Festival of Youth Theatre and Positive Stories for Negative Times.
Beyond the rehearsal room, Craig has been a passionate advocate for deaf talent—leading workshops, giving talks, and consistently championing the rights, creativity and potential of deaf artists and young people. As Craig moves on to exciting new opportunities, we want to say a huge thank you for everything he has brought to Solar Bear. For the laughter, the joy, the hard work, the sweat and the tears—it’s been an absolute privilege. While we’re sad to see him leave this role, we have a feeling this isn’t goodbye. We’re sure our paths will cross again, and we can’t wait to see what comes next.
